Job Title – Senior Full Stack Java Engineer (Banking) Job Location – Sydney Employment Type – Contract/FTC What Role You Will Play In Team We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with a strong banking background to join our growing delivery team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java-based application development, full-stack engineering, and data-centric solution design. This role requires hands-on experience in data modelling, data engineering, data flows, system integrations, and enterprise-scale application development within the banking sector. Experience in Treasury, Markets, Payments, Risk, or Capital Markets environments will be highly regarded Key Responsibilities Application Development Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies.Build and maintain robust microservices and RESTful APIs.Develop responsive front-end applications and user interfaces.Ensure high performance, availability, security, and scalability of applications. Data Engineering & Data Architecture Design and implement logical and physical data models.Develop and optimize data pipelines, data ingestion processes, and data transformation workflows.Define and maintain end-to-end data flows across multiple systems and platforms.Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and integrity across applications. Integration & Solution Design Design integrations between banking applications, data platforms, and external systems.Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams on solution design and implementation.Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making. Banking Domain Delivery Deliver technology solutions supporting banking products and business processes.Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
