Graduate Frontend Developer

JHC Consulting is supporting a significant mandate for a Brussels based logistics firm. This engagement requires the synthesis of complex operational data into clear, written counsel for their board of directors. As a Graduate Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the digital interfaces that allow our principals to present these findings and allow our clients to engage with our written memoranda. This is a full time, permanent position that is conducted entirely through remote work, allowing you to contribute to high level advisory work from any location. The Role In this position, you will focus on the technical implementation of our digital reading environments. Because JHC Consulting avoids slide decks and visual presentations in favor of the written word, your work will center on creating clean, legible, and highly functional web interfaces. You will work closely with our analysts to ensure that the technical delivery of a memorandum never distracts from the argument itself. Your day to day tasks will involve writing clean code to support the logistics client project, ensuring that our internal document management tools are reliable, and optimizing the reading experience across various devices. You will spend a significant portion of your time translating requirements into functional components and ensuring that the final product adheres to our standards of clarity and precision. What You Bring We are looking for an individual who has a strong grasp of the fundamentals of web development. You should be comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. An interest in typography and layout is essential, as the legibility of our written work is the primary goal of our frontend efforts. While this is an entry level role, we expect a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to think through the logical structure of a user interface. You should be able to explain your technical choices clearly and be willing to iterate on your work based on feedback from our principals. A background in a technical field or a portfolio of personal projects will be helpful. Most importantly, you must value the discipline required to build software that is both simple and effective.
