DevOps Engineer-Azure

Location: Kraków, Poland Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office Engagement: B2B Contract Contract Duration: 6 months About the Role We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to engineer and operate secure, resilient Azure platform capabilities for our products. You will work extensively with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform, and automated delivery practices to build scalable, repeatable, and compliant cloud solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with platform engineering, application teams, security, and operations to establish reusable cloud patterns and reliable CI/CD pipelines that enable teams to deliver software safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and operate Azure platform solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform.Own the lifecycle of functional patterns—from design and documentation through development, maintenance, and continuous improvement.Build and maintain a reusable library of Terraform modules and cloud infrastructure patterns.Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided cloud services, including IAM, networking, monitoring, operating systems, and container platforms.Manage Azure connectivity and networking, including ExpressRoute, DNS, IP allocation, traffic routing, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall.Implement centrally defined hardened Linux and Windows OS baselines.Ensure cloud platforms comply with defined security controls, standards, and operational risk requirements.Apply operational controls across networking, firewalls, operating systems, logging, monitoring, availability, resilience, and disaster recovery.Implement enterprise patching requirements and support non-functional testing, including performance, resilience, and security testing.Maintain technical documentation, architecture/design documents, runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.Troubleshoot and resolve Azure platform and CI/CD pipeline issues, collaborating across teams to restore services and prevent recurrence.Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud platform engineering practices, automation, reliability, and security.Required Qualifications & Experience Essential Hands-on experience engineering Microsoft Azure platform services using Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.Strong experience developing modular and reusable Terraform code and infrastructure patterns.Solid Azure networking expertise, including:ExpressRouteDNSRoutingNetwork Security Groups (NSGs)Azure FirewallIP address managementExperience integrating enterprise shared services such as IAM, monitoring, logging, and OS images.Proven experience building, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.Working knowledge of cloud security and operational risk controls, particularly within regulated or enterprise environments.Experience with logging, monitoring, patching, OS hardening, resilience, availability, and recovery practices.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.Ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation, including designs, runbooks, and operational procedures.What You’ll Bring A strong engineering mindset with a focus on automation and repeatability.Ability to work effectively across platform, application, security, and operations teams.Strong understanding of enterprise cloud governance and security practices.A proactive approach to troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
