About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer to join our core systems team at Riverty. This full-time, permanent position is based in Dortmund, with the opportunity to work remotely up to 80% within Germany. As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our in-house software solutions, particularly our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. You will work within a dynamic and collaborative environment, engaging in the development of scalable, maintainable, and future-proof services. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency and robustness of our healthcare financial solutions, supporting our mission to streamline processes and improve healthcare delivery. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: A completed degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.Several years of professional experience in Java software development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.Proficiency in working with SQL databases and writing efficient queries.Fluent German language skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Experience or familiarity with Delphi and Object Pascal is advantageous but not mandatory.Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the Java Developer include: Participating in the continuous development and improvement of our in-house ERP system and related software solutions.Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable services in Java that integrate seamlessly into our existing system landscape.Analyzing requirements and translating them into technical specifications and solutions.Refactoring and optimizing existing codebases to enhance performance, maintainability, and scalability.Contributing to the development of our technical standards and development guidelines, actively shaping our software architecture.Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and other development teams, to ensure high-quality deliverables.Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our development processes and solutions.
