Java Software Engineer

CONTRACT TYPE: Contract of employment WORK SYSTEM: hybrid - 3 days from office and 2 days remotely WORK LOCATION: Warsaw, Poland Our client is looking to add Java Developers and be part of building the future logistics integrations In the Integration & Automation team we play a critical role in connecting warehouse automation equipment, customer APIs, Warehouse Management System, and enterprise systems across a highly complex, global landscape. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who thrives with building and maintaining integrations and wants be part of building integrations across a wide range of systems and wants to shape robust, scalable solutions that directly impact warehouse operations. YOUR ROLE As a Senior Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations and tailor-made tooling that complement our clients core systems. You will work closely with stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions across our warehouse automation landscape. You will also play a key role in modernising legacy applications, setting technical direction, and mentoring less experienced developers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain integrations and applications supporting warehouse automation and core logistics systemsBuild and support integrations between systems such as WMS, WCS, WES, TMS, and external partners using APIs, messaging, and event-driven architecturesWork with Java 17+ and Spring Boot in modern, scalable architecturesContribute to and lead refactoring of legacy solutions into modern tech stacksAnalyze business processes and translate operational requirements into technical solutionsDefine technical specifications and review solution designsCreate and execute test scenarios; participate in validation, testing, and go-live activitiesCollaborate closely with Product Owner, developers, and business stakeholdersProduce and maintain high-quality technical documentationIdentify technical risks and proactively propose mitigationsMentor junior and non-senior developers and promote best practices and knowledge sharingSupport applications in production in collaboration with support teams WHAT YOU BRING Professional qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similarStrong experience as a Senior Java Developer in enterprise environments (must have, otherwise your application cannot be taken into consideration)Solid knowledge of: Java 17+, Spring BootIntegration patterns, REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven systemsKafka / event streaming (Confluent Kafka is a plus)Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or OracleBasic DevOps knowledgeKubernetesExperience refactoring or modernizing legacy applicationsFamiliarity with Git and collaborative development workflowsPersonal qualifications: Fluent professional English (spoken and written)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to document solutions clearly and according to standardsCollaborative mindset and strong stakeholder communication skills Interested?
