Due to continued growth of our business, we are currently recruiting an experienced Software Developer to join our Digital Technology team based in Manchester. About The Role The software developer works in the Digital Technology team and is responsible for the majority of software development tasks and activities that are undertaken on projects. They take guidance from the senior software developers and managers but can work under their own efforts to deliver large packages of features and outputs. They are also the first point of contact for junior software developers and work to expand their knowledge and understanding of software development techniques and processes. The software developer can understand all aspects of the development lifecycle in some part and can detail how large software solutions are built and linked together. They can also take an idea from concept, to understanding, scoping, and implementation, with guidance from senior team members. They are expected to contribute to project scoping & estimating, storyboards, feature definitions, development/coding activities, bug fixing, source code consistency, deployment, and maintenance. They also perform code reviews of other staff members work and produce technical and user documentation of systems.
