Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI Native) Berlin, Germany Full-Time | Hybrid | Permanent €90,000 - €120,000 + Equity We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing Engineering team building a modern AI-driven platform, this is a startup environment in a very exciting position, building an AI native Operating System that transforms unstructured communication and data into organized and automated workflows. Our client is a high-growth technology business using software, automation, and AI to redefine how one of Europe's largest and most important industries operates. With a clear progression plan in mind, this is a hands-on IC role with significant influence on architecture, UI/UX patterns, and overall product quality, while working backend services and frontend interfaces to deliver end-to-end features with strong ownership. Strong ownership across both frontend and backend development, working closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality user-facing features. What You’ll Be Doing Build end-to-end features across React (frontend) and Node.js / TypeScript (backend) systemsDevelop clean, intuitive user experiences using React and TypeScriptBuild and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScriptWork with APIs, PostgreSQL, and event-driven architecturesCollaborate closely with AI and backend engineers to integrate intelligent workflows into the productContribute to architectural discussions, performance improvements, and engineering best practices Frontend Engineering Develop reusable components, layouts, and UI patternsOptimize for performance, clarity, and usabilityMaintain design consistency and elevate product polish Backend Engineering Implement and maintain backend routes, business logic, and servicesWork with PostgreSQL for data modeling and queriesContribute to distributed system patterns, event-driven flows, and reliability AI-Enabled Product Work Integrate frontend experiences with AI-derived outputs (structured data, workflows, insights)Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure clarity and usability of model outputs Engineering Best Practices Write high-quality, maintainable codeContribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisionsSupport performance, observability, and CI/CD improvements Required Skills & Experience Expert-level TypeScriptStrong proficiency with React (hooks, component design, state management)Backend experience using Node.js + TypeScriptFamiliarity with AWS, DevOps basics, and performance optimizationAI Production (LLMs, embeddings, RAGs, model outputs)Experience building and shipping production systemsComfortable working across the full stack with end-to-end ownershipGood understanding of APIs, databases, and modern web architectureStrong communication skills and collaborative mindsetComfortable working in a startup, fast-moving, high-autonomy environment Nice to Have Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, or TerraformExposure to distributed systems or event-driven architecturesInterest or experience in AI-enabled products or LLM integrationsStrong UI/UX intuition and attention to product qualityPrevious startup or early-stage company experience Ideal Profile Successful candidates will typically: Enjoy solving open-ended technical problemsBe comfortable making architectural decisions and discussing trade-offsTake ownership from idea through to deliveryThrive in collaborative environments with evolving requirementsHave experience working across both frontend and backend development Location Berlin (hybrid working model) If you’re excited by high-ownership engineering roles and building modern, AI-enabled products in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you
