Backend Engineer

What you will own Design and build the core platform: operational records, approval flows, ownership models, and the data layer underneath them. Make multi-tenant infrastructure boring: reliable, observable, and safe to change while real operations run on it. Own deployment architecture across client environments: cloud, VPC, and local, so data residency is honored by design. Build the primitives the automation and forward-deployed teams assemble into client systems. Set the reliability bar. The platform is the thing everyone else's work stands on. What we are looking for Strong backend and infrastructure fundamentals: data modeling, APIs, queues, observability. Judgment about reliability and failure modes in systems other people depend on. Comfort with TypeScript and Node, and with owning services end to end. Able to design for constraints you did not choose: client environments, residency requirements, legacy systems. Nice to have Multi-tenant SaaS or platform experience. Postgres depth, RLS, or event-driven architectures. Experience running workloads across cloud, VPC, and on-prem environments.
