About the Role We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and scale our backend systems. You will play a key role in architecting robust, high-performance services, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJSArchitect and optimize relational database schemas using PostgreSQLWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeCollaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutionsParticipate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practicesTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performanceContribute to system architecture decisions and technical roadmapsMentor junior and mid-level engineers Qualifications 4+ years of professional experience in backend developmentStrong proficiency in Node.js and NestJS (or similar frameworks)Solid experience working with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, migrations)Experience with AWS services is a plus (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practicesFamiliarity with Git and modern development workflows (CI/CD)Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalability principlesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Please send a detailed CV via email to info@getviero.com stating the job title in the subject header.
