DevOps / Platform Engineer – CI/CD Platform Location: Tokyo, Japan Employment Type: Full-time Language: Business-level English required; Japanese not required We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a team responsible for building and operating shared CI/CD platforms used by development teams across a large-scale technology environment. You will work with technologies including Jenkins, Artifactory, Harbor, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and monitoring platforms, helping to improve the reliability, scalability, security, and automation of the developer platform. Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and continuously improve shared CI/CD platforms including Jenkins, Artifactory, Harbor, and CI/CD-as-a-Service.Manage and scale containerized platform services running on Kubernetes / CaaS environments across multiple regions.Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for platform deployment, upgrades, and configuration management.Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, incident response, and service reliability practices.Automate platform onboarding, administration, and operational processes to reduce manual work and improve developer self-service.Perform platform upgrades, plugin management, security patching, and lifecycle management. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role.Hands-on experience administering and operating CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Tekton, or similar tools.Experience managing artifact repositories or container registries, such as Artifactory, Harbor, or similar technologies.Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, or equivalent technologies.Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar languages.Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent.Good understanding of Linux administration and networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, ingress, and service mesh technologies.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal development What You Can Expect Work on large-scale developer infrastructure supporting multiple engineering teams.Strong exposure to modern Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and SRE technologies.Opportunity to improve platform architecture rather than simply maintain existing infrastructure.International working environment where Japanese language skills are not required.Opportunity to influence developer experience through automation and self-service engineering.
