We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes container networking and cloud native platform operations. About the Role The ideal candidate will possess extensive Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise grade Red Hat OpenShift environments with specialized knowledge in advanced networking technologies including Cilium, eBPF, and Isovalent Enterprise for Cilium. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available container platforms that support critical business applications while driving automation, reliability, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Design, deploy, administer, and optimize enterprise Red Hat OpenShift container platforms across development, testing, and production environments.Manage and support Kubernetes clusters with a focus on high availability, scalability, performance, and security.Implement and troubleshoot container networking solutions including Kubernetes CNI frameworks and OVN-Kubernetes architectures.Design, configure, and maintain advanced networking, network policies, service connectivity, and ingress/egress controls.Deploy, configure, and support Cilium and Isovalent Enterprise for Cilium to enable secure, observable, and scalable Kubernetes networking.Leverage eBPF technologies to enhance networking security, observability, and performance monitoring capabilities.Develop automation solutions for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.Partner with application security and infrastructure teams to ensure platform stability, compliance, and operational excellence.Monitor platform health, capacity, and performance while identifying opportunities for optimization.Implement and maintain security best practices across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and container-related issues in production environments.Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and architectural standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience managing Kubernetes-based container platforms.Strong Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift administration and platform engineering.Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture components and cluster operations.Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes networking concepts and container networking interfaces (CNI).Experience with OVN-Kubernetes network policies, ingress controllers, and service mesh technologies.Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Cilium networking solutions.Strong understanding of eBPF architecture, use cases, and operational deployment.Experience with Isovalent Enterprise for Cilium in enterprise Kubernetes environments.Knowledge of Linux operating systems, system administration, and troubleshooting.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools).Strong understanding of cloud native technologies and container ecosystem tools. Preferred Skills Red Hat OpenShift certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift Administration, or OpenShift Development certifications).Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD or Flux.Knowledge of observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.Experience integrating Kubernetes platforms with enterprise security solutions.Experience supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.
