About The Role As a Senior Cloud Engineer (w/m/d) at Zasta GmbH, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our platforms operate with maximum stability, security, and scalability. You will collaborate closely with our development and product teams to automate processes, optimize infrastructure, and establish the technical foundation necessary for reliable deployments and sustainable growth. Your expertise will directly influence the efficiency and robustness of our cloud environment, enabling us to meet the evolving needs of our clients and business objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions primarily on AWS and Kubernetes. You will also lead efforts in automation through Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment workflows. Monitoring and logging will be key components of your responsibilities, as will maintaining the overall health and performance of our cloud systems. Your proactive approach will help us uphold high standards of security and operational excellence, fostering a resilient infrastructure capable of supporting our innovative products and services. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in building and operating modern cloud infrastructures, particularly on AWS. Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker is essential, along with expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. You should have a solid understanding of CI/CD processes, Linux system administration, and Git-based development workflows. Experience with relational databases, monitoring, and logging of cloud applications is also required. Additionally, a good grasp of networking, cloud security, and automation principles is vital. Candidates should demonstrate an analytical, structured, and independent working style, with a passion for collaboration within interdisciplinary teams. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with Helm, Karpenter, or Service Mesh technologies, as well as knowledge of Cloud Security and FinOps practices. These additional competencies will be considered advantageous and will enable you to contribute more broadly to our cloud initiatives. Responsibilities Develop and operate our AWS and Kubernetes cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code tools and modern CI/CD pipelines.Ensure the reliable operation of containerized applications and continuously improve the platform.Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain system stability and performance.Collaborate closely with development and product teams to incorporate best practices in cloud architecture and DevOps methodologies.Maintain security standards and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and compliance.Participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud infrastructure issues.Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
