Description

Quantum Success Engineer Delft, Netherlands | Hybrid – 3 days onsite €70,000–€80,000 Relocation & visa sponsorship available I'm partnering with one of Europe's most exciting quantum technology scale-ups as they continue expanding their customer-facing quantum engineering team. They're developing the control technology used by some of the world's leading quantum research teams, and they're now looking for a Quantum Success Engineer who can sit at the intersection of experimental quantum physics, electronics and customer problem-solving. This isn't a traditional Customer Success role. You'll be working directly with physicists, researchers and quantum engineers, helping them successfully integrate and use sophisticated quantum-control hardware within real experimental environments. What you'll be doing You'll support customers once they've adopted the technology, helping them get their experimental setups working effectively and solving technical challenges as they arise. That will include: Supporting the installation, setup and integration of quantum-control hardwareTroubleshooting experimental and technical issues with customersDelivering technical training and helping researchers get productive quicklyWorking with microwave/RF electronics and quantum experimental setupsBuilding strong relationships with highly technical customersUnderstanding recurring customer problems and feeding that insight back into engineering and product teamsBecoming a trusted technical point of contact for research groups using the technology What we're looking for You'll ideally come from an experimental quantum physics background rather than purely theoretical research. We're particularly interested in people with: A PhD in Experimental Physics, ideally involving microwave or RF experimentsor An MSc in Experimental Physics plus 1–2+ years of relevant industry experience Alongside: Hands-on experimental quantum computing / quantum hardware exposureMicrowave, RF, electronics or quantum-control experiencePythonStrong technical troubleshooting abilityExposure to embedded systems or control electronics would be highly valuableExcellent English communication skills Previous experience working directly with customers isn't essential if you have the personality for it, but experience in Applications Engineering, Application Science, Technical Support, Customer Success, training or technical demonstrations would make you particularly relevant. The person This role suits someone who enjoys the science but doesn't necessarily want their entire career to remain behind a laboratory bench. You might be the physicist in your group who enjoys explaining complicated problems. The person colleagues naturally ask for help. Someone who likes solving something technically difficult, but also enjoys working with the people trying to solve it. You'll still be deeply connected to quantum technology, but you'll get far more exposure to customers, different experimental environments and the wider commercial quantum ecosystem. Why consider it? You'll join a rapidly scaling deep-tech organisation operating at the forefront of quantum computing, working alongside physicists, hardware engineers and software engineers building technology used by quantum researchers internationally. The package also includes: 30 days' holiday + public holidays 14% employer pension contribution Company equity Hybrid working Relocation support Full visa sponsorship for international hires and their families Interested, or know an experimental quantum physicist who would be unusually good with customers? Drop me a message and I'll happily share more.
