Solutions Engineer

Sojo Industries ("Sojo") is a fast-growing industrial automation company that utilizes robotics, mobility, and modularity to deliver efficient packaging and assembly solutions to the food and beverage industry. Sojo has designed and built a sophisticated SQF-compliant facility in Pennsylvania ("Sojo Hub") to support a variety of packaging materials and capabilities. Sojo has scaled its manufacturing operations, building out additional facilities in Redlands, CA, Indianapolis, IN, and Temple, TX to support its growing business with Fortune 500 customers and leading beverage brands. In addition, Sojo utilizes its proprietary mobile manufacturing offering, Sojo Flight, to eliminate freight costs, labor costs, packaging costs and harmful emissions while delivering on-site packaging services. In June 2025, Sojo released Version 3.0 of its custom, Dock-to-Dock, Blockchain-enabled track and trace platform Sojo Shield, currently in use by several key customers. As a manufacturer and partner in the complex and ever-changing consumer packaged goods supply chain, Sojo is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the physical data that manifests and transacts throughout its production facilities and warehouses. This software platform lives at the intersection of the physical and virtual worlds, providing real-time traceability and FDA Compliant reporting for complex tracing applications. The Sojo team is comprised of seasoned executives and operators from the food and beverage industry and customers include Fortune 500 brands, distributors, and manufacturers. The Solutions Engineer will report directly to the Vice President of Product. They will be a key contributor on the team responsible for creating and analyzing data flows and integrations as part of the Sojo Shield middleware layer, developing and maintaining internal tools, testing tools developed by other teams, and customizing the company's ERP and WMS. The role requires a blend of software development, data analysis, and system customization skills. Primary tasks will include developing and maintaining systems integrations, ERP and WMS Customization, and the creation of business intelligence dashboards. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain internal tools using JavaScript (NodeJS) and Python. • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain responsive web applications that support business operations and improve user workflows. • Participate in scoping, creating, and maintaining API integrations with vendors and customers. • Create and manage data flows, analyze data from multiple sources, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. • Test and validate tools and applications developed by other teams, ensuring they meet the company’s standards and requirements. • Customize Sojo’s ERP and WMS to enhance functionality and usability for the company. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that improve workflows and productivity. • Document and maintain technical specifications and user guides for developed tools and customized systems. • Provide support and troubleshooting for internal tools, ERP, and WMS. • Leverage approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate solution design, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while maintaining security, quality, and confidentiality standards. • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and automation. • Build and customize dashboards in Sojo’s business intelligence environment • Support administrative IT functions and processes • Synthesize and action on technical projects in a cross-functional environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements • All other tasks as assigned by their manager Basic Qualifications • 2-5 years of experience in software development or IT • Experience integrating systems via APIs • Proficiency in JavaScript (NodeJS) and Python. • Strong experience with SQL for database management and data analysis. • Proven experience in ERP and WMS development and customization. • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal oversight. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. • Experience creating business intelligence dashboards • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with React for large-scale data processing. • Experience working with REST/SOAP or EDI integrations • Experience working with SAP • Knowledge of Axios or a similar integration library in JS or Python • Familiarity with systems integration and API development. • Background in data engineering or data science. • Knowledge of best practices for data security and compliance. • Ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks as needed. • Experience with major cloud platforms — Microsoft Azure (Active Directory, MS360 Admin Portal, Data Factories, B2C Tenant management) and/or AWS (IAM, S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS). • Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms, within professional software-development workflows.
