About dot.it
dot.it is building an AI-native intelligence layer embedded directly inside the inbox.
Customer conversations contain some of the most valuable signals in a business—context, intent, sentiment, buying signals, objections, next steps, and relationship dynamics.
Most of that information never makes it into a CRM or traditional system of record.
dot.it captures those behavioral and contextual signals from customer communications and transforms them into a proprietary intelligence layer for revenue teams.
We’re building at the intersection of AI, email, CRM, and revenue intelligence—and we’re looking for a technical leader who wants to help shape the architecture and engineering foundation of the company from an early stage.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer & Technical Lead to take ownership of dot.it’s technical direction and help turn our product vision into a scalable, intelligent platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role.
You’ll write production code, architect systems, make technology decisions, work closely with product and the founder, and establish engineering practices that can scale as the company grows.
You’ll have significant ownership over the technical roadmap and will help define how dot.it processes customer communications, generates intelligence, integrates with existing systems, and turns unstructured data into actionable insights.
What You Will Own:
Own the architecture and technical direction of the dot.it platformDesign and build scalable, reliable backend and frontend systemsDevelop AI-powered workflows for extracting insights from customer communicationsBuild and maintain integrations across email platforms and CRMs, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, Gmail, Outlook, and ExchangeDesign data pipelines and infrastructure for processing large volumes of unstructured communication dataBuild APIs, services, and systems that support our core productWork closely with the founder and product team to translate product requirements into technical solutionsEvaluate and implement AI/LLM technologies, APIs, models, and infrastructure where appropriateEstablish engineering standards around testing, security, observability, deployment, and documentationIdentify technical risks and make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainabilityHelp shape the engineering roadmap as the product and customer base scaleEventually help recruit, mentor, and lead additional engineering talent

Why Join The Team
This is an opportunity to join early enough to have real ownership.
You won’t be joining a large engineering organization with a narrowly defined scope.
You’ll have a direct influence on the architecture, product, engineering culture, and technical direction of the company.
You’ll work closely with the founder and have the opportunity to help build the technical foundation of a company tackling a large problem: turning the world's most valuable customer data—conversations—into actionable business intelligence.
If you’re someone who wants to build, own, and lead, rather than simply maintain someone else’s system, we’d love to hear from you.
Compensation & Initial Engagement
This role will begin with a 30–60 day trial engagement designed to ensure mutual fit before transitioning into a long-term Senior Software Engineer & Technical Lead position.
During this initial period, you’ll work directly with the founder and product team, contribute to the codebase, take ownership of defined technical initiatives, and help evaluate the architecture and engineering roadmap.
At the end of the engagement, we’ll evaluate performance, technical execution, communication, ownership, and overall fit for the long-term role.
If there is strong mutual alignment, the engagement will transition into a full-time position with a competitive salary and equity package based on experience and stage.
We’re looking for someone who wants to build with us—not simply take a job.
The initial engagement gives both sides the opportunity to determine whether we’re the right long-term fit before making that commitment.
