We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
Design and develop high-end C++ components for medical desktop applications Architect, implement, and review complex multithreading and parallelization concepts Analyze, refactor, and optimize existing codebase (QT, CMake, Conan, MSVC, embedded CEF) Drive modernization from legacy MFC / ATL / Win32 and Delphi to modern C++ and .NET Utilize AI agents and tools like Claude Code for refactoring, code analysis, and legacy modernization
What You'll Need
Several years of senior-level experience in professional C++ development, ideally in high-performance, highly parallelized desktop systems University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technical discipline Deep expertise in modern C++ (C++ 14/17/20), multithreading, concurrency, debugging, and performance tuning Hands-on experience with Qt, CMake, Conan, MSVC, and integrating components like CEF Confident, effective use of AI in software engineering, including agentic coding tools and AI pipelines Fluent German and fluent English, both written and spoken Structured, analytical way of working with strong problem-solving skills and innovation drive
