Highlights
Opportunity to build scalable, high-performance backend systems in a technically challenging environment with strong engineering practices and collaboration.
Description
Our client, a top tier global buy side firm, are actively seeking a Golang Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.
You will work on high-throughput, performance-sensitive systems—supporting trading, portfolio/risk workflows, data services, and internal platforms.
You’ll partner with engineers and stakeholders to deliver reliable software with strong engineering practices.
The role:
Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang).Design and implement APIs, internal services, and event-driven or high-throughput processing components.Build systems that handle performance and reliability requirements (latency, throughput, resilience).Integrate with data sources and services (e.g., SQL/NoSQL, message queues/streaming platforms depending on stack).Improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and support production operations.Write clean, well-tested code; contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.Participate in agile delivery, estimation, and release activities.Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement through automation and better tooling.
What you offer:
Ideally 3+ years experience building production backend systems in Golang (candidates who are willing to pick up Go will also be considered!)Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: concurrency, networking, memory/performance considerations, and clean architecture.Proficiency with RESTful APIs and/or event-driven design patterns.Experience with databases and data modeling (SQL and ideally one of PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle or NoSQL).Working knowledge of Linux and common tooling for building, deploying, and debugging services.Experience with CI/CD and version control (Git).Familiarity with observability tooling and debugging production systems.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to deliver reliably in a fast-moving environment.Clear communication and collaborative mindset.
