Praxis is looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join a dynamic team focused on building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
This role is ideal for a strong hands-on developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure, who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and services.Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, architects, technical leads, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from design and development through deployment and support.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.Develop technical specifications, effort estimates, and implementation plans.Apply software engineering best practices, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), code reviews, and security standards.Contribute to architecture discussions and technology decisions that support long-term business and system growth.Research and implement new technologies to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Equivalent experience will also be considered.7+ years of software development experience, including full SDLC experience in large-scale production environments.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise applications and platforms.Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.Preferred QualificationsFull Stack development experience.Experience with iOS and Android development.Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.Databricks and Power BI.Microservices architecture.Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
