Platform Engineer with Harness

Job Title: Platform Engineer with Harness Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite) Type of Hire : Full-time Required Skill and Experience • Must Have: Harness · GitHub · Nexus · Bamboo · XLDeploy / XLRelease · Jenkins • Harness Delegate and connector management • Harness Monitoring and Troubleshooting • Vulnerability remediation for Harness platform ecosystem components such as delegate images etc. • Create and enhance reusable templates in Harness • Manage Harness EKS cluster support activities such as upgrades , patching etc. • Own platform lifecycle management, enhancements, vendor engagement, and technology modernization initiatives. • Establish governance, standards, reusable templates, and best practices for CI/CD pipelines. • Drive adoption of self-service deployment capabilities and Internal Developer Platform (IDP) principles. • Lead enterprise release orchestration using XLDeploy and XLRelease. • Manage artifact repositories, binary lifecycle management, and dependency governance using Nexus. • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment frequency, quality, and release predictability. • Champion DevSecOps controls, vulnerability remediation, compliance checks, and automated quality gates. Preferred Skill and Experience Good to have Harness Certified Continuous Delivery & GitOps Administrator Good to have AWS Certified Solution Architect Certification Additional Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
