Our challenge We are seeking a hands-on Lead Infrastructure & Solutions Architect to own the end-to-end infrastructure and solution architecture for a complex insurance platform across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role drives architectural decisions to closure, establishes technical direction for distributed engineering teams, and works directly with senior client stakeholders through formal architecture review processes. The successful candidate will ensure that the platform is secure, scalable, highly available, supportable, and aligned across infrastructure, application, data, and security architecture. Responsibilities Own and maintain the infrastructure, security, deployment, and solution architecture across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.Design standards for networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational support.Define Docker-based container architecture, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and environment-management strategies.Prepare, present, and defend infrastructure and solution designs in formal client architecture review sessions.Drive open architectural decisions, technical risks, dependencies, and infrastructure initiatives to closure.Provide technical direction and review designs, code, configurations, and deployment plans across backend, frontend, data, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.Define configuration-driven onboarding for carriers, including environment settings, secrets, feature configuration, and deployment controls.Qualifications Minimum 6 years of experience working in or with the insurance industry, including familiarity with claims-management processes.Demonstrated experience designing .NET architectures and enterprise infrastructure in on-premises or hybrid environments.Experience with Docker-based deployments and container architecture.Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available production environments.Experience presenting and defending technical designs in formal architecture review boards.Experience leading distributed onshore/offshore engineering teams, with strong client-facing communication and a proactive, accountable work style.Nice to Have Experience with long-term care insurance administration.Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure hybrid identity scenarios.Experience with Azure services, Kubernetes, Terraform or Bicep, enterprise networking, and disaster-recovery solutions.We can offer you A multinational organization with 57 offices in 22 countries and the possibility to work abroad15 days (3 weeks) of paid annual leave plus an additional 10 days of personal leave (floating days and sick days)A comprehensive insurance plan including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long term disabilityFlexible hybrid policy to fit your scheduleRRSP with employer’s contribution up to 4%A higher education certification policyOn-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated coursesCoaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groups SYNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
