Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description Position Summary Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack to design, develop, and support modern web applications supporting finance and customer-facing platforms, including PayPro+, our customer bill portal system. This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Next.js, Java-based services, and Kafka within a cloud-native environment. This posiiton is based is a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) in our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and support full-stack applications using modern web technologies (Next.js, Java)Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservicesDevelop and support Kafka-based event-driven integrationsIntegrate applications with backend data systems including Oracle databasesWrite efficient SQL queries and optimize performanceDeploy applications to containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure ARO)Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviewsTroubleshoot production issues and implement fixesDocument technical designs and system behavior Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience7–10 years of full-stack development experienceStrong expertise in Next.js, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSSStrong Java (Spring Boot) backend development experienceExperience with REST APIs and microservicesExperience with Kafka or event-driven systemsStrong SQL/database experienceExperience with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShiftFamiliarity with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Oracle PaaS, APEX, or PL/SQLExperience with finance or billing systemsExperience with Azure cloudKnowledge of OAuth, JWT authentication Working Conditions & Environment Hybrid work arrangement – required to work onsite in Raleigh office four (4) days per weekOccasional after-hours support may be requiredCollaboration across distributed teams expected Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Advance Auto Parts is an equal opportunity employer.
