Backend Software Engineer (.NET) - Digital Factory

Role Overview The Software Engineer (.NET) is responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and maintainable web applications using the .NET ecosystem.
Acting as a key contributor within agile delivery teams, the role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads, architecture, UX, backend, frontend, data, and platform teams to translate functional needs into reliable and high-quality software increments.
At Supervising Associate level, the role leads complex application delivery, sets engineering direction and develops team capability across initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical delivery across complex .NET workstreams, making design decisions and resolving cross-team dependencies, risks and escalations.Mentor engineers, enforce engineering standards and drive improvements in architecture, security, testing, observability, release readiness and technical debt management.
Application Development & Delivery
Design, develop, and implement .NET-based solutions, including UI components, application flows, and reusable services using Blazor.Contribute to end-to-end application delivery across build, run, support, and maintenance activities.Deliver working software iteratively by implementing features, fixing bugs, closing development tickets, and supporting sprint commitments.
Architecture, Quality & Engineering Practice
Apply software engineering principles to ensure scalability, maintainability, reliability, and long-term technical quality.Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making across the application lifecycle.Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure readability, maintainability, consistency, and alignment with standards.
Performance, Reliability & Operations
Optimize frontend performance and backend scalability across .NET and Blazor applications.Design resilient application behavior using patterns such as caching, retries, idempotency, and appropriate error handling.Instrument applications with logging, metrics, monitoring, and diagnostics to support operational reliability.
Security, Compliance & Collaboration
Apply secure coding practices across frontend, backend, and data interaction layers.Support authentication, authorization, secrets management, secure data handling, and dependency management practices.Follow enterprise security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Demonstrates successful leadership of complex delivery, stronger engineering capability and consistent adoption of quality and architecture standards.Success in this role is evaluated based on the ability to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes across engineering execution, collaboration, technical quality, operational reliability, and enterprise delivery expectations, including:Consistent delivery of working software within sprint commitments and project priorities.High-quality, readable, maintainable, and reusable .NET / Blazor code.Effective participation in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities.Reliable contribution to issue resolution, feature implementation, production support, and root cause analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Professional experience building solutions within the .NET ecosystem.Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core and EF Core.Experience with Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring practices.Experience working in agile delivery environments with sprint-based execution and delivery commitments.Familiarity with API consumption patterns and integration with backend services such as REST APIs.Experience with refactoring, modernization, maintainability, and long-term technical quality improvements.Understanding of application performance, troubleshooting, testing, production support, and maintainability practices.Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to collective success while remaining open to feedback and coaching from more experienced colleagues.Awareness of secure development practices, privacy requirements, and enterprise compliance expectations.7+ Years of experience are required.
Preferred Experience
Experience in integration testing.Knowledge of .NET Aspire.Experience in various kinds of system integration patterns.Knowledge of application architectures.
