We’re looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to help customers migrate from our well-established Windows application to our new cloud solution built with the latest Azure technologies. You will bridge software development and IT operations to automate processes, manage cloud infrastructure, and ensure smooth continuous software delivery. This role offers real social impact and the opportunity to shape how our platform is built. Key ResponsibilitiesManage our Azure cloud estate and CI/CD pipeline.Provision and manage cloud and server infrastructure programmatically.Support desktop clients with Windows, database, and application hosting expertise.Enforce security, coordinate penetration testing, manage secrets and access controls, and ensure our systems meet compliance standards.Set up real-time monitoring, alerts, and log analysis to measure system health, uptime, and performance against SLAs.Troubleshoot and tune performance across our technology stack.Act as internal expert and second line support for infrastructure and DevOps issues. Perform root cause analysis on production incidents.Deliver professional services (data transfers, migrations, installs).Write knowledgebase articles and document internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).Champion automation and DevOps practices within the business.Skills & ExperienceEssential Practical, hands-on exposure to Azure cloud services (App Service, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Entra) or similar PaaS.Strong Windows Desktop and Server administration (setup, maintenance, troubleshooting).Awareness of UK data protection and security compliance frameworks (GDPR, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001/2).Working understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerisation.Hands-on MSSQL tuning and troubleshooting experience.Track record in second line or infrastructure support with complex client issues.Strong communicator, able to explain technical information clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.Comfortable creating and debugging automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, or similar). Desirable Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform).Familiarity with application monitoring/observability tooling (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, or similar).Experience with message/event-driven architectures (service bus, pub/sub patterns).Experience packaging, code-signing, or distributing Windows installers or client agents.Productive, cautious use of AI-assisted tooling (Claude or similar) in real engineering work.SaaS platform or migration experience.
