Description
Description
We are seeking a mid-level (Medior) AI Developer & Data Scientist to drive the development and implementation of our AI-based Measurement Analytics Tool.
In this role, you will take ownership of implementing, scaling, and deploying a functional Proof of Concept (POC) that turns high-volume, multi-modal vehicle telemetry and diagnostic logs into actionable software verification insights.
Acting as an autonomous technical contributor, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering data and efficient troubleshooting by implementing robust ML pipelines, feature extraction workflows, and automated reporting interfaces under the guidance of senior architects while collaborating with entry-level developers.
Location – Krakow (on-site)
Requirements
AI & Data Science Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or software engineering with a solid track record of developing and implementing ML models.Core Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python and its standard data science ecosystem , along with hands-on experience building rapid UI prototypes .Applied ML & NLP Methods: Practical experience applying time-series analysis, pattern matching, clustering techniques, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using Large Language Models (LLMs) to real-world datasets.Data Integration Skills: Strong capability in handling large-scale, structured and unstructured datasets, with proven ability to ingest, parse, and correlate complex text logs and numerical measurements.Automotive Domain Awareness: Familiarity with vehicle software verification processes, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN), or diagnostic log structures is highly advantageous.Education: B.Sc.
or M.Sc.
in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical/Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Job responsibilities
AI/ML Pipeline & Feature Development: Implement, maintain, and optimize data-processing pipelines and machine learning architectures tailored for high-volume automotive datasets.Data Analysis & Feature Engineering: Independently clean, preprocess, and structure heterogeneous text-based and numerical telemetry streams (such as bus logs, sensor measurements, and diagnostic outputs) to extract key patterns.Model Training & Core Analytics: Train, evaluate, and fine-tune analytical models—utilizing time-series pattern recognition, unsupervised clustering, and modern Natural Language Processing (NLP/LLM) techniques—to support diagnostics and scenario reconstruction.Software Implementation & Integration: Write clean, modular, and production-ready Python code.
Implement intuitive user interfaces and APIs to package analytical engines into deployable tools within the software ecosystem.Technical Collaboration & Execution: Collaborate with senior software architects and automotive domain experts to translate engineering requirements into technical implementations.
Support the integration of code into Volvo software repositories.
