We’re looking for a Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience to help build a next-generation accounting platform already serving 165+ enterprise clients. 📍 Location: Tokyo 💰 Starting Salary: 7,000,000 ~ 12,000,000 JPY 🇯🇵 Japanese: Advanced 💻 Tech: Python / Go / TypeScript What we're looking for - 3+ years of backend software development experience using Python, Go, or TypeScript - Experience developing and operating web services on cloud platforms (AWS, etc.) - Experience participating in team code reviews and architectural design discussions - Experience developing microservices or API-driven services - Experience with database management and SQL database system development - Minimum working proficiency in both English and Japanese for meeting communication and collaboration Nice to have: - Hands-on commercial experience with Kubernetes and Docker - Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS platforms - Experience developing software products within Agile/Scrum frameworks - Track record of contributions to Open Source Software (OSS) - Strong interest in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture principles 🔥 Why this role stands out Build more than AI APIs Integrate AI into real accounting workflows — including payment approvals, journal entries, automated reconciliation, and matching. Have real technical ownership Work in lean Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and R&D teams. Work directly with AI R&D Collaborate with Computer Vision and LLM Research Scientists and leverage AI coding agents and modern developer tooling to move faster.
