At the Shared Business Services team, we build and maintain critical functionalities needed in many of or our departments and deliver them as a service. Our team plays a key role in NN Bank’s strategic pillars of standardisation and simplification, delivering critical services that support multiple departments.If you get energized by building modern green-field solutions and ensuring robust security, this assignment is for you. You’ll gain hands-on experience with NN’s modern tech stack, including serverless AWS solutions, TypeScript, Lambdas, and Step Functions.What you are going to doYour primary focus will be leveraging technologies and tools like Node.js, Typescript, AWS to create new solutions convert/expand functionality in pre-existing applications —ensuring compliance and security controls are implemented and documented.The team owns just a few services, most of them written in Typescript (some in Python) and using serverless solutions in AWS, with Lambdas and Step Functions.As a freelance engineer, you are expected to work independently and contribute to the team in all the aspects of software development that surround build and maintaining a product. You also bring:5+ years of experience in software development and strong proficiency in full-stack development with TypeScript, Node.jsSolid experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB etc)Mature in the full software life cycle (product discovery, CI/CD pipelines, observability, configuration management, compliance etc)Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines is a plusExcellent communication skills in English (B2+)Who you will work withYou are going to be part of a small team composed by two experienced software engineers and a Product owner. On Monday you will work at the office in The Hague and on Wednesday you will work from our Rotterdam office.By the nature of the centralized solutions we create for NN Bank, you will interact with many other colleagues in different departments. Specially with other engineers and architects.
