Frontend Development Internship

We are adding a new developer to our team to help build specialized internal tools for a German infrastructure client. This project is centered on creating the web interfaces that their engineers and operations teams use to monitor and manage large scale physical assets. As a frontend intern, you will be part of the small, remote team responsible for making sure this data is accessible and easy to understand for the people on the ground. The Role In this role, you will be building the screens and components that make up our client applications. For the German infrastructure project, this means creating dashboards that display real time data and building forms that allow technicians to log their work accurately. This is a full time internship and the position is paid at a rate that is competitive for the market and your level of experience. Because we are a remote company, you will manage your own schedule while staying in close contact with the rest of the team through written updates and video calls. Your daily work will involve: Writing clean, readable React code for internal admin panels. Connecting frontend components to our backend APIs to display infrastructure data. Fixing bugs and improving the user experience based on feedback from weekly demos. Helping to document how the interface works so the client team can use it easily. Collaborating with our designers to turn mockups into functional web pages. Participating in code reviews to learn best practices from our senior developers. Ensuring that the tools we build work well across different browsers and devices. What You Bring We are looking for someone who is organized and curious about how web applications are built from the ground up. You do not need years of professional experience, but you should have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. We value developers who are okay with doing work that is not flashy, like building a better data table or an efficient search filter, because those are the things that actually help our clients do their jobs. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment. This means being able to look at a task, ask questions when you are stuck, and follow through until the work is done. Helpful Background While this is an entry level role, there are a few things that will help you get started quickly. Having some experience with the following is a plus: Basic familiarity with React or another modern JavaScript framework. A basic understanding of how to use Git and GitHub for version control. Experience making simple API calls to fetch or send data. An interest in how infrastructure or logistics companies manage their data. Previous projects, even personal or school ones, where you built a functional website. A willingness to learn how to use tools like Node or Postgres on the backend.
