Description

Recover is building the operating system for the built world We're reshaping how the entire restoration industry operates — a massive market duct-taped together with spreadsheets and phone calls. We've closed our seed round, have a live product that grabs every industry operator who sees it, and we're building out the eng team beyond the founders. We are not humble about this: our product has built moats beyond the competition, earned by refusing to ship anything that doesn't fundamentally change how the work gets done. What we're building Recover is an ecosystem that structures, guides, and enables every phase of a restoration job. In an industry with messy, regulatory workflows, we're building software that makes complex work feel simple. That's a hard problem, and we're solving it. Who we're looking for Engineers who think like PMs, who start with what the users struggle with and what they wish they could do. Be able to digest innumerable scenarios and research what already exists, plan with AI, prototype something and iterate until its perfect. There's a difference between the shitty formulaic software that 99% of companies make and products that leave a legacy. Our ideal fit is an intuitive, technically capable person who is obsessed with the latter. The culture, honestly: We banter loudly, we work in person, side by side, and we will be in the office late — not because someone's watching, but because the problems are genuinely interesting and the stakes are real. Expect long nights, drinks of your choosing, gas station snacks, and debates that actually change the product. This is not remote-friendly. This is not a 9-to-5. If you're looking for a standard engineering job, we're not it. If you're the kind of person who's been waiting for a team that matches your intensity — we're building a championship roster. Top-tier talent gets compensated accordingly.
