AWS DevOps Engineer
We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support secure, scalable cloud environments within a regulated financial services environment.
This role will serve as an embedded AWS SME, focusing on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, automation, and operational resilience.
Responsibilities
Design and implement AWS infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD solutions.Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, GitHub Actions, and GitOps practices.Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray.Support containerized environments using EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, and Fargate.Develop automation and operational tooling using Python, Bash, AWS Systems Manager, and Step Functions.Implement secure cloud solutions using IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, VPC, and other AWS security services.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, and performance issues.Create audit-ready architecture documentation, runbooks, ADRs, design documents, and technical evidence.Partner with engineering, security, SRE, and platform teams to improve reliability, security, and operational resilience.Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience.Strong AWS expertise with services including EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Systems Manager, and CloudFormation/Terraform.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.Strong CI/CD and automation experience with AWS DevOps tooling and GitHub Actions.Experience with Docker, Python/Bash, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps.Understanding of security, compliance, monitoring, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments, preferably financial services.Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect certification preferred; Terraform Associate or CKA is a plus.
