Summary ✨ AI‑Generated

A backend engineering role focused on building reliable distributed systems, APIs, and data-driven services. The position involves working across backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and scalable processing pipelines.

Highlights

Build scalable backend systems involving modern cloud technologies, automation pipelines, and AI-powered features with strong ownership.

Description

The Position Every day, millions of hours of live streams end and simply vanish β€” TikTok doesn't save them, and creators lose their best moments the second they go offline. Reecorder records live streams automatically, with the creator's consent, on our side: no OBS, no local files, nothing to click. When the stream ends, the full VOD is waiting, and our AI cuts the best moments into ready-to-post clips. The core loop already works end to end, with real streams flowing through the system today. We're looking for a backend engineer to own a real piece of that system β€” not a ticket queue, a system. You'll work across our TypeScript product backend and our Go/Kubernetes recording pipeline, building the seams that turn raw pipeline events into a reliable, scalable product. Duties Own parts of the product backend: a TypeScript monorepo on serverless edge infrastructure with Postgres, covering recordings, clips, consent, entitlements, payouts, and communityBuild and maintain the seam between our Go/Kubernetes recording pipeline and the product: Kafka consumers, idempotent and out-of-order tolerant webhook ingestion, a gRPC control plane for consent and playback, and analytics reads from ClickHouseHelp scale the pipeline from dozens to thousands of concurrent recordings β€” worker fleet capacity, memory budgets, segment spool windows, consumer throughput, egress strategy, and retention/deletion machineryContribute to a new, greenfield analysis pipeline that transcribes, classifies, and labels VOD content to make it searchable and licensableOwn the operations of what you build: dashboards, alerts, error budgets, deploy discipline, incident response, and postmortemsWork with typed, contract-first systems β€” protobuf events with cross-language parity tests, shared schemas across backend, web, and appDirect AI coding agents as part of your default workflow, reviewing their output and building the guardrails (tests, CI gates) that keep it safe to move fast Requirements You have operated what you built β€” real systems that ran, broke, and got better because of youStrong TypeScript skills, with curiosity about GoComfortable with Postgres and at least one of Kafka, ClickHouse, or KubernetesYou think in contracts, idempotency, and failure modes by reflex, not by checklistYou want real ownership β€” and its counterpart, accountabilityClear written communication β€” you can explain a decision so the next person doesn't have to re-derive it Great to have Experience reading or writing Go in production systemsExperience operating distributed, event-driven infrastructure (Kafka, Kubernetes) at scaleFamiliarity with contract-first / schema-driven development (protobuf, gRPC)Comfort working alongside AI coding agents as a core part of the engineering workflow What we offer A micro team (two or three people who own a whole system end to end), full remote work from anywhere with European working-hours overlap, real ownership from week one, and direct feedback from founders you'll talk to daily. You'll work with a working product and real users already on early access, with unusual leverage per person thanks to AI-native tooling and serious infrastructure β€” no committees, no theater, no ops team to throw things over the wall to. Compensation Annual gross salary for this position ranges from €65,000 to €95,000 (full-time, permanent employment, remote within European time zones). Exact positioning within the range depends on seniority and production experience with distributed systems. Depending on the type of employment and country, we're open to negotiate. About us StreamTV is the company behind several independent projects. What connects us is that we all build for creators. Beyond that, every project operates on its own with its own pace. Reecorder Founded in 2026, Reecorder keeps what used to vanish the second a creator went offline. Creators give consent once, then every stream gets recorded in the background, with no plugin and nothing running on their machine. Consent first, always. What used to be a one-off moment becomes something creators can reuse and earn from. TikFinity TikFinity was already a name before it came to us in 2025. Since then, we've been pushing it further every day: product, marketing, community. More than a million active creators run their streams with it, with interactive overlays, widgets, and alerts that turn their TikTok LIVE into an interactive game every viewer wants to play. We know what TikTok creators need because our community has been telling us from the start. OWN3D For creators all over the world, OWN3D is where they bought their first overlay. That was 2017, and OWN3D.tv is still going strong. Then came OWN3D Pro in 2020, a multistreaming tool for Twitch, YouTube, and Kick that's grown into something a lot bigger than it started as. Overlays, alerts, widgets, and a Scene Builder that does the tech and design part so creators don't have to. We've grown up alongside those creators, and the goal hasn't changed: help talented creators grow.
