Description
A newly-launched prediction and trading product, backed by a major global sports and entertainment company with a fan base in the hundreds of millions, is hiring into its engineering team.
Their platform allows users to trade on the real-world moments they actually follow (sport, entertainment, politics and beyond) and this team is building that platform from the ground up.
The Role
This is a true 0→1 opportunity.
You'll join a small, senior team defining the product, the technical foundations, and the ways of working from scratch.
No legacy codebase, no inherited technical debt, no established process to unlearn.
You'll own features end-to-end (spec, build, ship, instrument, monitor, iterate) on a platform built to handle millions of events daily.
The role is Full-stack, but frontend-led (70%): Most of your time will be in React, Next.js and modern TypeScript, building the web experience customers actually interact with.
Alongside that, genuine backend comfort is required.
They are open to any backend experience and really need someone who has the experience to to work across the stack, integrate with backend APIs, and hold your own with platform/infra teams on reliability, testing and deployment.
This IS NOT a Frontend role - It will remain Full-Stack but leaning slightly to the Frontend of their stack.
They will be looking for Engineers who have a proven track record of working in a Full-Stack capacity.
AI Assisted Engineering
The team is pioneering AI as a genuine code collaborator, not a novelty.
They're looking for engineers who use Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar daily to ship production code faster, and who can point to a specific, measurable example of what that's bought them.
You'll help set the team's standards for AI usage as they're being written, not join ones already fixed.
Proving AI usage is part of their process and they will be looking for case studies and examples of where you have used it (ideally 1-2+ years in production)
They are looking for:
Solid experience building highly scalable, user-facing web applications in React and TypeScript, ideally with real UX/design-driven, consumer-facing product experience rather than purely internal tooling + experience in production with a backend language/ APIs/ Cloud (in a Full-Stack capacity)
In addition, a strong grounding in software design principles and testing methodology (unit, integration, end-to-end), plus the CI/CD and deployment practices to match.
The ability to communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and genuine appetite for a fast-moving, still-being-defined environment where you'll often be unblocking others rather than following an existing playbook.
