About the Role As an Intermediate Developer, you'll be involved in all software development activities as part of an Agile team, including estimating, sprint planning, software development life cycle activities, code reviews, research, deployments, and documentation. You'll also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, helping ensure the delivery of high-quality software that aligns with customer needs, technical architecture, development standards, and quality practices. Key Responsibilities Software Development (70%) Contribute as a developer in an agile team, collaborating with technical and non-technical team members, and working closely with database, back-end, and front-end stacksEnsure software deliverables align with the technical architecture, development standards, and quality practicesAssist in building and executing integrated unit tests for all code modulesDevelop well-written, intent-revealing codeAssist in ensuring observability of the team's code and products, and monitor them in a live environment, ensuring high availability and reliabilityProduce thorough documentation outlining high-level architecture, flow, sequence diagrams, blockers, risks, and other technical considerations as neededWork on bugs that need immediate attention to unblock our customers Teamwork & Collaboration (30%) Participate in peer review activitiesParticipate in a learning environment through collaboration, shared knowledge, and leadershipWork within the agile team to gather production metrics and stakeholder feedback and use them to iterate and grow team projectsMentor and guide junior developersCollaborate with senior developers to work on features of a big projectCollaborate with product managers to get clarity on project requirements Key Qualifications Strong understanding of relational databases and their usage in software developmentStrong proficiency in PythonDemonstrated working experience in software development, with a focus on delivering high-quality softwareHave delivered at least one feature end-to-end in collaboration with other developersBasic understanding of REST APIs and their function in web developmentExcellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Bonus Proven expertise in Django and Django Rest FrameworkExperience delivering SaaS software in an agile environmentExperience collaborating with product managers to define and clarify requirements, and ensuring successful delivery of software productsExperience building and maintaining RESTful APIs, with an understanding of best practices for authentication and authorization mechanismsExperience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting deployed code on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a professional/enterprise environmentExperience working with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular If you meet most, but not all, of the qualifications listed above, we still encourage you to apply.
