DevSecOps Engineer

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to design, build and operate scalable infrastructure supporting modern Data Platforms across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. The role combines Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on automation, security, scalability and operational excellence. You will develop reusable infrastructure components, enable secure CI/CD processes and ensure the reliability and performance of platform services across production and non-production environments. You will work closely with Data and Analytics teams to deliver secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure solutions while providing hands-on technical expertise across the Azure ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and manage scalable Data Platform infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments.Build modular, reusable and maintainable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, embedding DevSecOps practices and security automation throughout the delivery lifecycle.Provide SRE support for production and non-production environments, focusing on reliability, availability, performance and operational resilience.Design and implement hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating Azure Cloud and on-premises environments.Leverage containerization and serverless technologies to support data processing workloads and pipeline logic.Provide hands-on consulting, implementation and deployment support across Azure services.Ensure reliable application and data flow across distributed and hybrid systems.Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Analytics and other technology teams to deliver secure and scalable platform solutions.Identify opportunities to improve automation, standardization, monitoring and overall platform efficiency. Required Skills & Experience: Infrastructure & Cloud Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and/or Ansible.Solid experience in Azure Cloud Engineering and Architecture.Experience designing infrastructure for Data Platforms and data-intensive workloads.Practical experience working with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.Strong understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure components and distributed systems. DevSecOps & Automation Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.Strong scripting and automation skills.Understanding of integrating security controls and automation into CI/CD workflows.Experience building reusable and standardized infrastructure components. Data Platform & Application Fundamentals Good understanding of data ecosystems, including databases, data platforms and data pipelines.Experience supporting infrastructure for data processing and analytics workloads.Understanding of application architecture and application/data flows across distributed systems.Experience with serverless architectures and technologies used for data processing or pipeline logic.Hands-on experience with containerization. Site Reliability Engineering Strong understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, monitoring, performance and incident management.Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex infrastructure or application issues.Ability to design solutions with scalability, resilience and operational stability in mind.
