Role Description We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our R&D team in Brezovica pri Ljubljani.This is a full-time, on-site role focused on the development of embedded firmware for professional electrical test and measurement instruments. You will design, implement and maintain embedded firmware while working closely with our hardware and software teams to integrate and validate complete system functionality. Your responsibilities will include: Developing embedded firmware for ARM-based microcontroller platformsDesigning and implementing firmware in C/C++Debugging, testing and optimizing embedded systemsIntegrating firmware with analog and digital hardwareWorking with communication interfaces and peripheralsSupporting hardware bring-up and system-level troubleshootingParticipating in code reviews and maintaining technical documentationSupporting verification and validation of new and existing productsContributing to new product development from prototype to serial productionExploring new technologies and continuously improving development processes You will work closely with electrical, hardware and software engineers to ensure that our products meet performance, reliability, safety and compliance requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical fieldPractical experience in embedded firmware developmentStrong knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systemsExperience with microcontrollers, preferably ARM-based platformsUnderstanding of digital and analog electronics and ability to read electronic schematicsExperience with embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, USB or similarExperience debugging embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and software debugging toolsFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitStructured and analytical approach to problem-solvingGood communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering teamExperience with RTOS, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity, measurement technology, or safety and compliance standards for electrical measuring instruments is considered an advantage.
