About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the CI/CD build pipelines for our simulation software across multiple software generations.
The role involves continuous development and optimization of our proprietary monitoring tools to oversee simulation systems effectively.
You will lead initiatives to introduce and improve virtualization and automation solutions, ensuring the seamless operation and increased availability of our internal IT systems and tools.
The position requires defining system requirements, developing system architectures and designs, and ensuring platform scalability and stability.
There is also an opportunity to assume technical leadership of a team of 7 to 9 members, fostering their development through mentoring and performance management.
You will coordinate cross-departmental collaboration, oversee the quality of deliverables, and ensure projects meet deadlines.
Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the robustness and efficiency of our simulation and IT infrastructure, supporting our strategic goals and technological advancements.
Qualifications
Successfully completed degree in a natural sciences field or an equivalent qualificationExtensive experience in DevOps, CI/CD, virtualization, and IT system and server administrationProficiency in automating system installations, configurations, software deployment, and system monitoringStrong knowledge of DevOps processes and experience in process optimizationAbility to define and implement technical architecture standardsExperience with system and software architecture of complex IT or simulation systems (preferred)Proficient in GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Jenkins, Hyper-V, VMware, Windows, and Linux environmentsKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and monitoring tools like GrafanaSelf-motivated with excellent communication, conflict resolution, time management, and assertiveness skillsFluent in German and English, with willingness to undertake national and international travel
