About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End (UI/UX) Developer to join our dynamic team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. This fully remote position involves developing an AI-powered Patient Health Data Summarization feature within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV). The role focuses on creating intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that facilitate clinicians' decision-making processes by presenting AI-generated insights derived from clinical documentation and health records. The developer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including product owners, UX designers, clinical experts, and technical specialists, to deliver seamless healthcare applications integrated into clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, a passion for healthcare technology, and a commitment to creating user-centered solutions that meet strict accessibility and usability standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Experience developing modern, component-based web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.Hands-on experience implementing accessibility standards, including WCAG and ARIA.Experience developing complex, data-intensive user interfaces and visualizations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience working effectively within Agile, multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Design and develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for healthcare applications, utilizing modern front-end frameworks and component-based architectures.Create data-rich visualizations and workflows that simplify complex clinical information, supporting clinician decision-making processes.Implement user interfaces supporting Clinical Decision Support workflows, including CDS cards, notifications, and patient-context-aware experiences.Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring transparency, usability, and traceability of AI-generated summaries.Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality.Participate in code reviews, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and adhere to quality and usability standards.Collaborate within an Agile environment on sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and releases.Contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, and user acceptance testing.Support additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet project objectives and ensure successful delivery.
