WordPress Developer Intern

Gulf Associates is a specialized firm that provides commercial advisory services for complex investments and partnership decisions. We prioritize commercial judgment and ground reality over theoretical reports, working closely with sovereign entities and family groups on high stakes decisions. We are looking for a WordPress Developer Intern to support our internal digital systems and contribute to the online presence of a major Dutch logistics firm we are currently advising. This is a fully remote position that offers a direct look into how technology supports senior-level commercial decision-support. What you will do Maintain and update existing WordPress websites used for client research and internal information sharing. Assist in building custom pages and templates to present data and findings for the engagement with the Dutch logistics firm. Test site functionality across different browsers and devices to ensure a professional user experience for all counterparties. Improve website performance and load times to support partners working in varied environments. Implement regular security updates and monitor site health to protect commercial information. Document technical workflows so that other team members can manage basic content updates without assistance. Work with the research team to integrate simple data visualizations into web-based reports and positions. Troubleshoot theme or plugin conflicts to ensure continuous site availability. What you bring Basic familiarity with the WordPress core and a working knowledge of PHP, HTML, and CSS. Strong interest in how web platforms can be used to support commercial objectives and investment advisory. A disciplined approach to research when identifying the best plugins or tools for a specific functional need. High attention to detail regarding layout, typography, and the integrity of internal and external links. Logical problem-solving skills to address technical issues in a methodical way. Clear communication skills to explain technical choices to partners who focus on finance and strategy. The ability to manage your own time effectively in a remote setting to meet project timelines. Willingness to learn new tools and techniques that improve the firm's digital efficiency.
