The Opportunity
TSC is partnering with Tamer Group to identify an experienced IT Data Engineer to join its Information Technology team.
This is a remote opportunity based from the company's Amman office, offering the chance to work with a leading organization and contribute to its ongoing digital and data transformation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing scalable data platforms, pipelines, and integrations while supporting the organization's transition toward a modern Microsoft-based data architecture.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric is a MUST for this position
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Develop data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse
• Implement real-time and batch data processing capabilities across multiple data sources
• Design and maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers to support analytics and reporting requirements
• Integrate data from ERP systems, APIs, and external sources while ensuring data quality and consistency
• Implement incremental loading strategies, change tracking, and data synchronization mechanisms
• Automate data workflows and implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions
• Optimize data pipelines and processing frameworks for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Implement data security, governance, backup, and disaster recovery best practices
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Provide clean, structured, and analytics-ready data to support business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives
• Document data architectures, integrations, and pipeline performance metrics
Requirements
• 3-7 years of experience in data engineering or related technology fields
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and cloud-based data solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data services
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture and OneLake
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation
• Experience with Apache Spark, preferably PySpark
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities
