Fully remote opportunity for early-career developers to build clean digital interfaces with autonomy and flexibility.

Description

A Belgian logistics and trade group is currently expanding its operations, creating a need for rigorous strategic analysis and governance counsel. JHC Consulting has been engaged to provide an external, critical read of their internal expansion plans. To support the delivery of our findings, we are hiring a Graduate Frontend Developer. This individual will focus on the technical systems used to present our written arguments to client boards and chief executives. The role is a full-time, permanent position that functions within a fully remote structure, allowing for deep concentration and individual autonomy regardless of location. The Role The primary responsibility of the Graduate Frontend Developer is to translate the firm's analytical requirements into clean, functional, and highly readable digital interfaces. At JHC Consulting, we do not use traditional slide decks or cluttered presentations. Instead, we rely on the clarity of the written word. Your day-to-day work will involve developing and maintaining the web-based environments where our memoranda are authored and distributed. You will ensure that the technical presentation of our counsel is as precise and disciplined as the analysis itself. Build and refine frontend components using modern web technologies to support the delivery of long-form written analysis. Collaborate with our principals to understand how data and text should be structured for maximum clarity on digital platforms. Maintain a high standard of code quality through consistent testing and peer review, ensuring that our systems remain secure and accessible. Iterate on internal tools used by our analysts to draft and revise signed memoranda. Ensure the Belgian logistics group mandate and future projects are supported by stable, high-performance web interfaces. Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the document distribution process, providing swift and effective resolutions. Advocate for typographic excellence and visual simplicity in all digital outputs. What You Bring We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong technical foundation and an appreciation for the discipline of writing. As this is an entry-level role, we value your potential to grow within our specific advisory model. You should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your technical contributions. The following background and skills are essential for success in this position: A foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a willingness to learn specific frameworks used by the firm. A high degree of attention to detail, particularly regarding the layout and presentation of complex information. The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical principals in a clear and direct manner. Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to trace a technical problem back to its root cause. An interest in the logistics or trade sector, specifically how technical infrastructure supports large-scale business expansion. Academic or project-based experience in web development that demonstrates a commitment to clean, maintainable code. A preference for simple, functional design over unnecessary visual complexity. How We Work JHC Consulting operates on a model of individual accountability. We believe that writing is thinking, and this philosophy extends to our code. Every piece of work we produce is signed by the person who authored it. This means you will have the opportunity to take full credit for the systems you build, while also carrying the responsibility for their performance. We do not participate in large-scale ceremonies or endless meetings. Instead, we focus on the work itself: the reading, the analysis, and the production of a signed record that stands the test of time. Working at JHC Consulting This position is fully remote, reflecting our firm's commitment to providing a quiet, disciplined environment for our staff. We trust our developers and analysts to manage their own time and output. Because we accept only a limited number of mandates each quarter, including our current work with the Belgian logistics group, we are able to maintain a high standard of quality without the typical pressures of a high-volume agency. The firm provides a paid professional environment where the compensation is attractive and competitive within the current market for entry-level developers. You will be expected to maintain a professional home-office setup that allows for focused, uninterrupted work. Every memorandum produced by this firm concludes with the author's signature. This practice is not a mere formality: it is a testament to the rigor of the thinking and the integrity of the analysis. As a Graduate Frontend Developer, the systems you build will carry the same weight of accountability. We seek individuals who are ready to stand behind their work and contribute to a practice that values the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. The ability to present an argument clearly is as much a technical challenge as it is an intellectual one, and we look forward to integrating your skills into our advisory process.
