Junior Software Engineer

We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Product & Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their engineering career who is eager to learn, grow and contribute to products used by customers around the world. As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, helping to design, develop, test and maintain software that delivers real value to our customers. You'll be supported by experienced engineers, receive coaching and feedback, and gain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle. Whether your experience comes from university, an apprenticeship, a placement year, personal projects or an early-career role, we're looking for curious problem-solvers who are passionate about technology and excited to build their skills in a modern engineering environment. What You'll Be Doing Developing, testing and maintaining software components and servicesContributing to the delivery of customer-facing products and internal platformsSupporting the investigation and resolution of software defects and technical issuesParticipating in code reviews, testing activities and software releasesWorking with established development tools, frameworks and engineering practicesCollaborating with engineers, product teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutionsContributing to team learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiativesGrowing your technical capability through hands-on experience, mentoring and professional development Why join Findmypast? You may be a recent graduate, apprentice or someone beginning your software engineering career.
