About the Web Team: The Web Team owns all our user-facing web properties such as viki.com and soompi.com at Viki. Tens of millions of users will be impacted by what you have built. Ours is a diverse stack of exciting web technologies like React, Svelte, NextJS, Typescript, Tailwinds CSS, NodeJS, etc. We work on a range of challenging projects, such as building features like video streaming components, optimizing web performance, monitoring, creating in-house developer tools etc. The team works closely with the product, design, operations and data analytics team to deliver better, faster and the best experiences for our users. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we are in search of an Associate Engineer/Engineer, Web who can work in a fast-paced, professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain responsive, performant user interfaces and reusable components for our internal React library.Work closely with UX designers, product, and engineering teams to translate specifications into fully functional features.Ensure cross-browser and multi-platform compatibility while maintaining bug-free code.Assist in diagnosing and preventing web performance issues to ensure a seamless user experience.Participate in code reviews and team meetings to learn best practices in web performance and developer efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science with relevant work experience1-4 years in building web applications. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Expertise in semantic HTML, CSS and a solid understanding of core web and browser conceptsStrong JavaScript and Typescript fundamentalsExperience with ReactJS, Svelte, or another modern JavaScript web framework (Astro, Angular, VueJS).
