AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: London or Manchester
Salary: £50,000 – £72,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Security Clearance: Required / eligibility to obtain
The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading technology and national security organisation that is looking for experienced Cloud Engineers to join their growing engineering teams.
You’ll work on complex, mission-critical systems supporting high-profile customers, helping to design, develop, deploy and maintain cloud-based applications and services.
This is a hands-on role within an autonomous DevOps environment, giving you the opportunity to work across the full delivery lifecycle and contribute to a range of technically challenging projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing, developing and deploying cloud-based applications and services using AWS.Working across the full DevOps lifecycle, from development and testing through to deployment and support.Using Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.Developing and scripting using Python, Bash or Shell.Working with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS and more.Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Working with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Collaborating closely with engineers, customers and stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial experience working with AWS.Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.Strong scripting or development experience using Python, Bash or Shell.Experience working within DevOps and Agile environments.Knowledge of CI/CD, version control and automated testing.Experience with containers, Kubernetes or microservices would be advantageous.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
