About The Role We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our core systems team at Riverty. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dortmund, offering the flexibility of working remotely up to 80% of the time. As part of our dynamic development team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our in-house software solutions that support our healthcare finance services. You will collaborate with a team of approximately 15 developers, working on innovative projects that have a tangible impact on the healthcare sector. Your work will involve developing scalable, maintainable services using modern Java technologies, participating in the ongoing refinement of our development standards, and contributing to the future-proof architecture of our systems. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.Multiple years of experience in software development with Java and SQL databases.Fluent German language skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Experience or familiarity with Delphi and Object Pascal is advantageous but not mandatory.A solid understanding of modern software architecture principles and best practices.Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to development challenges. Responsibilities As a Java Developer at Riverty, your key responsibilities will include: Participating actively in a collaborative team environment to develop and improve our in-house healthcare finance software solutions.Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable Java-based services aligned with our architectural standards.Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications and solutions.Refactoring and optimizing existing systems to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, standards, and best practices.Engaging in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality delivery.Working closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, testers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
