Build What Matters
The Full Stack Engineer is an ownership role responsible for product outcomes end-to-end: from shaping technical approaches and building features through to release, reliability, and production performance.
At Sitemate, engineers combine strong technical craft with product thinking and delivery ownership.
You'll work in small, high-trust teams alongside Product Design Managers to define problems, shape solutions, implement clean and scalable systems, and take responsibility for what ships — including how it behaves once live.
Engineering, product, and delivery are not separate handoffs here; they operate as one integrated team.
We believe the future of product development in an AI-accelerated world belongs to engineers who can think beyond tickets - they own outcomes and deliver at speed with AI.

🔧 What this role looks like at the senior level
You'll lead technical decisions within a team attached to a product.
You'll help shape architecture, mentor engineers, and have direct input into how our products evolve to support our users.
You'll work across frontend, backend, and mobile: TypeScript, React, Node.js, Angular, MongoDB, and AWS.
You don't need to be an expert in all of these, but you're skilled enough across part of the stack to lead with confidence.
Two shifts are defining what senior engineering looks like here:
You'll operate as a product-minded engineer.
This goes beyond having opinions about UX.
You'll join customer calls, interpret usage data, and make strategic decisions about what to ship and what to defer.
The best engineers here understand the customer problem as deeply as they understand the code. You'll lead the shift to agentic engineering.
We're moving toward a model where senior engineers define and orchestrate AI agents to build features, rather than writing every line.
You'll help establish how this works in practice — the patterns, the guardrails, and the quality bar — and help move other engineers towards this workflow.
🔧 Day-to-Day
Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term technical vision across the platform.Build and ship impactful features, from architecting new capabilities to improving performance and code quality.Shape experiences around AI-powered developer tools and agentic engineering practices.Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and informal guidance.Contribute improvements to developer experience (tooling, CI/CD, monitoring).Collaborate directly with product, design, and leadership on what to build and why.
⚡ Challenges
High technical complexity beneath simple UIs — shared components across multiple products, backend services powering web and mobile clients.Pace: Fast-Tracked is a real operating value.
You'll need to balance speed with quality and sustainable delivery.Organisational maturity: engineering leadership, frameworks, and career ladders are being established.
You'll be building the plane while flying it.
✅ Who This Role Is For
You've built and shipped at scale and want to own technical direction, not just execute. You're excited about agentic engineering and want to lead a team through that transition. You care about mentoring — helping others grow is as important to you as your own contributions. You're drawn to real-world impact — our users build wind farms, highways, and mines in 100+ countries. You want to shape how an engineering org works through our next phase of growth, not inherit someone else's playbook.
🚫 Who This Role is Not For
You want a mature engineering org with a VP of Engineering, established technical ladders, and 50-person platform teams already in place.
We're building that — which is the opportunity if you want to shape it, and a mismatch if you need it to already exist. You want to specialise in just design or just product management — senior engineers here own the full delivery cycle and operate as product-minded technologists. You see AI tooling as a nice-to-have.
Agentic engineering is our direction and senior engineers are expected to lead the shift.
