The Application Development Senior Specialist role is responsible for leading the design, develop, test, and maintenance of software applications tailored to meet business needs of Vodafone Oman.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in application development, and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Analyse business needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraintsDesign, develop, and deploy applications using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, designers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders.Maintain and improve the performance of existing applications, identifying areas for enhancement.Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring optimal functionality and user experienceWrite well-documented, clean, and efficient code that aligns with company standards and best practices.Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve development processesEnsure application security, data protection, and compliance with regulatory standardsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
