Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work within Wealth Management Global IT Data Services Canada - As a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in AI-driven agent development using Python, SQL, and Snowflake technologies.
You will leverage modern development tools including Copilot and Windsurf to build intelligent, scalable solutions.
You will join a very dynamic team that is highly technical and has a great track record of delivering multiple innovative AI-powered solutions within the organization.
This is a hands-on technical role, very independent with an opportunity for growth.
What will you do?
Design and develop AI-based agents and intelligent automation solutions using Python and copilot-assisted developmentBuild and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions leveraging Snowflake and SQLBuild and automate functional testing frameworks with QE mindset and Unified Engineer approachContribute to successful solution development and delivery by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategiesParticipate in code reviews and technical design reviews of all AI agent architectures, specifications, and implementation plansCollaborate with data engineering and infrastructure teams to optimize Snowflake queries and database performanceAssist DevOps/support teams in troubleshooting production issues and performance optimizationMentor team members on Python best practices, AI agent development, Snowflake optimization, and testing automation
What do you need to succeed? Must-have's:
Strong experience with Python development (5-7 years) and modern frameworksAdvanced SQL expertise across multiple platforms (SQL Server, Snowflake) including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuningHands-on expertise with Snowflake data warehouse and SQL query optimizationProven experience developing AI-based agents and intelligent automation solutionsQE mindset with proven ability to design and automate functional testing frameworksProficiency with Copilot and Windsurf development environmentsExperience with REST APIs and modern integration patternsExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practicesProficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesExperience in both Agile and Waterfall environments

Experience with machine learning frameworks and LLM integrationPrior experience managing or mentoring small teamsExposure to enterprise data governance and data quality toolsExperience with cloud platforms and infrastructure automationHands-on experience with IBM DataStage and ETL toolsUnified Engineer background with full-stack quality assurance perspective.
