About This Role As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll collaborate with us to: Design and build reusable, high-quality components that scale across Faire's web surfacesChampion accessibility and performance best practices across shared componentsEstablish and maintain testing strategies and quality gates for the design systemPartner with engineers across the company to drive adoption and evolve the system based on real usageContribute to the technical direction of our frontend architectureAccelerate design process via AI-assisted toolingMentor other engineers, participate in design and code reviews, and raise the bar for frontend craftsmanship across the org We're Excited About You Because You Have 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSStrong collaboration skills and experience partnering closely with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teamsExperience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI platform used by multiple product teamsA strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution, and to influence technical direction beyond your immediate teamA passion for creating high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, and for making other engineers more productiveA bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Technologies We Use And Teach React, TypeScript, Next.js, NXFigma, Storybook, PlaywriteREST and streaming APIs, integrating with backend services written in Kotlin Salary Range Canada: the pay range for this role is $160,000 to $220,000 per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Faire uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to screen and select applicants for this position. This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
