Storm Digital Talent is representing a fantastic organisation in the Manawatu region who are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer as part of an exciting and ambitious digital strategy.

As part of the Digital Operations team, you’ll help ensure systems run smoothly while continuously improving how technology supports the organisation’s future.

You will:
Lead initiatives across operational reliability, engineering, automation and technology improvement.Improve digital capability by balancing speed of delivery with operational stability.Champion automation and systems management practices to create more proactive, resilient and scalable services.Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline and optimise platforms and processes.Contribute ideas, influence decisions and help shape future ways of working.Work across design, delivery and advisory responsibilities, combining enterprise-wide thinking with hands-on technical problem-solving.
About You
Naturally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Development or similar technology role.You’ll bring strong knowledge of IT service management principles and technical domains including cloud infrastructure, networking, automation and solution delivery.You’ll have experience with automation platforms such as Ansible, Jenkins, or similar tools.You’ll be a systems thinker who enjoys understanding how things work end-to-end and finding smarter, simpler ways to achieve outcomes.You’ll be someone who builds credibility, influences others and enjoys helping teams succeed.As a team-focused individual, you’ll value a positive culture, flexibility and continuous learning.You’ll be open to occasional travel to the Manawatu region if based elsewhere in NZ.
