Description

For our client, we are seeking a Devops Release Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Drive execution of the software release checklist end-to-end, ensuring timely accountability across phases Execute release planning by coordinating scope with managers and setting realistic release dates Manage source control branching and versioning strategies, developing scripts for build and deployment Ensure quality controls are met by collaborating with QA before code freeze and conducting go/no-go meetings Facilitate communication regarding release status across multiple departments and stakeholders Design and monitor build and deployment pipelines while maintaining detailed release documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or specialized coding training Proficient in Microsoft.NET build and packaging tools such as MS Build and Visual Studio Strong understanding of software development methodologies and version management Experience with scripting languages like Powershell and Python Familiarity with Agile project management tools, particularly Atlassian JIRA Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment orchestration using Azure DevOps 3+ years in Release Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role Benefits Collaborative work environment across multiple teams Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development Involvement in innovative release automation processes Potential for leadership in quality and process improvements Engagement with diverse stakeholders in the software release lifecycle Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
