Contract-to-hire opportunity Client is in Pinellas County Remote, but initial weeks will be on-site and must be willing to come in for occasional meetings Position Summary We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support modern software solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, embraces innovation, and leverages AI-powered development tools responsibly to improve efficiency while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability. This role requires strong technical expertise, effective collaboration skills, and a commitment to delivering scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to enhance productivity while ensuring code quality and security.Review and validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, and maintainability before implementation.Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.Develop automated testing solutions and contribute to CI/CD pipeline initiatives.Research emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, and recommend improvements to development processes and engineering workflows.Provide constructive feedback on application design, architecture, and code quality while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Successfully manage assigned work and deliver results within established timelines, including projects with aggressive deadlines. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.3+ years of professional software development experience supporting cloud-based and on-premises applications.
